[이슈] 2019 부산국제록페스티벌, System Of A Down(SOAD) 불참 알려…그 이유는?

지난 30일 발표 했던 2차라인업 중 7월 27일 헤드라이너로 참가예정이었던 System Of A Down(이하 SOAD)의 2019 부산국제페스티벌 참가가 불가하게되었음을 알려드립니다.

부산국제록페스티벌은 SOAD의 공연을 기대하고 계셨던 팬분들에게 몹시 죄송하다는 말씀을 드립니다. 지난 주말 저희와 계약을 진행하던 SOAD의 매니지먼트가 문제가 있다는 점을 파악하였고, SOAD에게 직접 문의를 하여 저희와 연락하던 매니지먼트가 실제 SOAD의 매니지먼트가 아니라는 사실을 확인하였습니다. 이후 저희는 여러분들의 피해를 최소화하기 위해 SOAD와 다시 출연 협상을 하였으나, 여러가지 사유로 합의에 이르지 못했습니다.

현재 비슷한 사례가 발생하여 경찰 수사가 진행 중에 있으며, 저희 또한 수사에 적극적으로 협조할 예정입니다. 다행히 저희는 계약과정에 몇가지 안전장치를 걸어두어, 금전적인 피해는 발생하지 않았습니다. 어찌되었던 피해를 입으신 모든 분들에게 사과드리며, 특히 이번 공연을 기대하셨을 SOAD의 팬분들께 깊은 사과를 드립니다.

현재 부산국제록페스티벌은 여러 에이전시와 함께 대체 아티스트를 섭외 중에 있으며, 향후 3차라인업 발표와 함께 새로운 아티스트를 공개할 수 있도록 최선의 노력을 다하고 있습니다.

7월 27일과 28일 위해 달려오던 부산국제록페스티벌 제작팀의 충격과 상실감도 상당한 상황입니다. 하지만 부산국제록페스티벌은 20년 동안 크고 작은 어려움을 이겨내며 성장해 왔습니다. 저희는 오는 7월 더 좋은 페스티벌을 만들기 위해 다시 노력해 보려합니다.

SOAD 출연 취소에 대해 거듭 사과 말씀드리며, 그외 공개된 1,2차 라인업에는 변동이 없음을 알려드립니다. SOAD의 공연을 보기 위해 티켓을 구매하신 분들께서는 수수료 없이 티켓 취소가 가능합니다. 5월 30일부터 6월 9일까지 2일권 및 1일권(토) 구매 티켓은 6월 19일까지 예매수수료를 포함한 전액 환불이 가능하도록 각 예매처와 협의하였으니 취소를 원하실 경우 꼭 기한 안에 고객센터를 통해 취소하시기 바랍니다.

Hello everyone. This is the organising team from Busan International Rock Festival.
We are really sorry to say that the previously announced headline performance by System Of A Down (from here on, SOAD) at Busan International Rock Festival 2019 (on July 27th) will not be happening. Firstly, we would like to offer our sincere apologies to everyone who was looking forward to seeing SOAD finally play in Korea.
Last weekend, we became aware of some problems / inconsistencies with the agent we made contracts. After delving deeper, it became apparent that it was not the actual SOAD agent we were communicating with. Since discovering this fact, we have enquired as to the availability of the band (via the actual agent), but for various reasons we could not make the show happen. Thankfully we have managed to recover the money we had transferred, so there is no financial harm done. However we acknowledge that we are completely at fault here and that there will be many upset SOAD fans.
We are currently in discussions with several agents with the aim of trying to find a suitable replacement headliner. Once we have found someone, we will announce them along with the next wave of acts for the 3rd lineup announcement.
Our team is also in complete shock at this discovery and feeling very down about this. However, Busan International Rock Festival has been growing over 20 years, overcoming difficulties big and small. We are working hard to rectify the situation and to produce a festival that the city of Busan can be proud of.
Once again, apologies for the cancellation of SOAD at the festival this year. There are no other changes to the announced lineup.
If you purchased tickets to see the performance of SOAD, it is possible to cancel the tickets at no charge. There will be no cancellation fee for 2 days pass and 1 day pass (Sat) purchases from May 30th to June 9th as we discussed with every ticketing sites, please cancel before the deadline (June 19th) if you'd like to.
