지난 19일, 유튜브에 공개된 소녀시대 ’The Boys’ 뮤직비디오는 공개 하루 남짓 만에 한국어 버전 3,384,117건, 영어 버전 1,401,675건으로, 총 조회수가 무려 4,785,792건(금일 오전 11시 기준)을 돌파하는 등 폭발적인 반응을 얻고 있어 소녀시대의 글로벌적 인기를 실감케 했다.
더불어 지난 19일 0시 전 세계 공개 된 소녀시대의 신곡 ‘The Boys’는 공개 당일 멜론, 벅스, 올레 뮤직 등 국내 음악 사이트의 실시간 차트 1위를 비롯해 20일(금일) 일간 차트도 모두 석권했으며, ‘텔레파시’, ‘MR.TAXI', ‘봄날’ 등 3집 앨범 수록곡들도 차트 상위권에 랭크되어 소녀시대 열풍을 입증하고 있는 상황.
