(톱스타뉴스 Hannah Kang 기자) The '2012 Korean Entertainment Awards' took place on the evening of November 19 at the Olympic Hall in Bangee-dong Songpa-gu, Seoul.
This year was the third time the 'Korean Entertainment Awards Ceremony' was held to acknowledge the people who pushed forward the growth of popular Korean culture and spread of the Korean Wave (Hallyu).
Ailee, who attended the event, posed in front of the photo wall.
The presenters of awards on this night included drama scriptwriter Kim Soo Hyun, actor Yoon Il Bong, singer Geum Sa Hyang, PSY, actress Na Moon Hee, and artistic director Song Seung Hwan. The stars who were recognized for rendering an Order of Cultural Merits and leading the Hallyu craze were K-POP stars 2NE1 and SHINee, actors Ha Jung Woo, Ryu Seung Ryong, and Cho Seung Woo, and comedians Yoo Jae Suk and Lee Soo Geun.
Also, several idol groups who have been actively promoting the Korean Wave around the world attended the ceremony and put on congratulatory performances for the winners. The idols who performed included SHINee, f[x], miss A, and EXO-K. There was also a stage that consisted of the history of choreography for K-POP songs that spread past the walls of Korea and brought entertainment throughout the rest of the world between 1980 and 2012. In particular, BTOB, B.A.P, and Hwang Minwoo, who is famously known as little PSY, put on special collaborated performances of the trending K-POP dances from that period.
